Nigeria’s richest woman, Folorunsho Alakija, and her husband of over three decades, Modupe Alakija, have allegedly parted ways.
The couple, who were once a prominent feature on Nigeria’s social scene, no longer live together in their matrimonial home located in the affluent Ikoyi neighborhood of Lagos.
Reports suggest that the couple might have separated.
This, they said, might have stemmed from frequent disagreements and squabbles, prompting Folorunsho to seek increased privacy within her residence.
Consequently, Modupe Alakija has reportedly relocated to alternative accommodation within the same Ikoyi vicinity, living separately from his wife.
While the couple strived to maintain a united front publicly due to their esteemed status in society, reports indicated that their relationship had encountered challenges in recent years.
Despite their significant wealth and influence, the Alakijas have reportedly found themselves navigating personal difficulties, leading to their decision to live apart after more than three decades of marriage.
