The Adamawa State Government in collaboration with the Nigerian Communication Commission (NCC) has organised a two-day training on digital skills for 150 youths in the state.
The participants were trained on Digital Marketing, Cyber Security, Digital Information and Entrepreneurship opportunity, among others.
The state Governor, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, promised to transform the state from its current economic status to a digitally driven society to enhance the socio-economic growth of the state.
The governor, who was represented by Awwal Tukur, the Secretary to the State Government, said the world was advancing technologically, hence the reason for making strong plans towards making Adamawa a better place through various digital skills for teeming Youths.
Dr. Aminu Maida, the Executive Vice Chairman of NCC, said the workshop would be impactful to all the beneficiaries and communities in Adamawa.
Maida, who was represented by Usman Mala, the NCC Director of Human Capital and Administration, said the training was a testament of government’s commitment toward engaging youths in businesses for a brighter future.
He said that the training would go would go a long way in creating more job opportunities within the market space for the participants.
