His was a mythical climb to the upper bracket, with a baffling turn to the events that threw him up. The policy did not support it, and he was years from the requirements. But he had been diligent, excelling at every turn – in a career which saw him becoming a solutions provider wherever he was assigned, with a divine connection along the way. Then someone at the top ditched his opportunity – in moments of misadventure, early enough to throw the star boy’s door open.
