Shell companies in Nigeria have treated over 3,600 patients at the Olobiri Health Programme in 2021 under its Powering Progress Programme.
Moreover, the company founded new brand in the same year for gas power, renewables and other energy solutions.
Over 34,000 babies were also delivered at the Obio Cottage Hospital of the programme since 2010, according to figures released by the company recently and made available to TIME TIMESTED NEWS.
The figures also showed that there were 190 Nigerian beneficiaries at the Shell liveWIRE enterprise development programme. The company also currently has 2,500 employees of which 97 per cent are Nigerians with 8,500 contractors.
Equally, $200 million has been used as support for renewable energy impact investments, while the company supplied 10 per cent of Nigeria’s domestic gas in the year under review.
The statement added that there have been over one million beneficiaries of the Heath-in-Motion programme since 2010.
