Ekiti Promotes 4,000 Teachers

Ekiti State Government said over 4,000 teachers in the public primary schools have been promoted.

This was disclosed by the Executive Chairman of the State Universal Education Board (SUBEB), Prof. Francisca Aladejana, in a statement in Ado-Ekiti, on Monday.

She said the elevation covered outstanding promotions of primary school teachers in the state up to 2019.

Furthermore, she explained that the exercise followed the approval by Governor Kayode Fayemi with the directive that all outstanding promotion exercise must be cleared.

Reiterating the commitment of the present administration to the welfare of workers, Aladejana however, pointed out that the exercise was based on merit, and that both written examinations and oral interviews were conducted to determine the level of competence of the affected teachers.

The SUBEB Executive Chairman congratulated the promoted teachers and urged them to reciprocate government’s gesture by rededicating themselves to their duties.
