2 Nabbed For Robbing POS Operator At Gun Point In Ogun

Two suspected armed robbery , were on Saturday, 22nd of May  arrested by men of   Command for robbing one Ajose Bilikisu, a point of sales (POS)  operator at gunpoint in Ketu area of the state.

In a press statement issued by the   (PPRO), DSP Abimbola Oyeyemi and made available to journalists in Abeokuta, it was stated that the duo were arrested following a distress call received by policemen attached to Idanyin divisional headquarters.

It further stated that four armed men were attacking a POS operator at Ketu Adiowe community and that the hoodlums have dispossessed the woman of her bag containing the sum of sixty thousand naira (N60,000), two androids phones and a bunch of keys.

Upon the distress call, the DPO Idanyin division CSP Olayinka Kuye quickly led his patrol team to the area, where the duo of Balogun Haruna, aka Fitila and Imole Noah was arrested with assistance from members of the community.

The two other  escaped with their arms.

On interrogation, Balogun Haruna who claimed to be a member of Eye confraternity, confessed to the , while the victim has also identified him and his partner as those who robbed her. An expended cartridge was recovered from them.

Meanwhile, the Commissioner of , CP Edward Awolowo Ajogun, has ordered the immediate transfer of the  to state   and intelligence department for discreet .

He has also directed that the escaped members of the gang be hunted for and brought to book, as soon as possible.
